what's new with the site?
- more tidy-up on oc pages;
- added 4 new drawings;
- added new review: lifeline;
- added free site templates to junkbox section ( not yet live ).
current main projects:
- set up ocs profiles
- digital sketchbook
- weekly game journal entries
been a while, sorry about that. i've been struggling this year ... mental & physical health has been a challenge to deal with, but i'm feeling alright at the moment. been lazily chipping away at the site some, too ... !
i finally wrote a new game review. my dream of doing one game a week is still something i'd like to strive for, but writing is especially difficult for me ... so it's hard to motivate myself to do it, even if it's something i'd really like to do lol. i also changed some stuff on the currently viewable oc pages, including finally linking to profiles of guest artists ( rather than just saying their username & where to find them ).
the biggest thing i've done is finish up some personal site templates for people to use. it's something i've wanted to make for a long time, since i love personal websites & am always trying to get people into them. they're all designed for beginners to use, and apart from one specifically made with a style, all of them are totally barebones aesthetically so that people feel encouraged to experiment & learn to code on their own. i need to fine-tune & polish stuff before they're released, but they're more or less done. :-) there's lots of free website templates out there, but i still hope these will be useful for people.
and that's all the work done on the site for now, i think. probably some little stuff i'm forgetting to mention ... so it goes.
what's new with me?
no idea what to write for this one. it's been so long & my mind has been in The Miasma for the whole time, my memory is sort of a blur ...
but i'll try to wring out some anecdotes anyway. it's summer now & the weather is ( shockingly ) pretty good where i am. my girlfriend's sister is having a baby ( scary ) & is due in the fall; a large portion of her family has birthdays in the fall, so there is a humor in her delivery date being then. we had a very sad looking steer wander into our yard a while ago, and we had to mingle with our neighbors to figure out who he belonged to ( which felt nice ). aaaaaaand i dunno. that's it?
artfight is starting soon, excitingly. i decided to fill out a card this year, so ... here you go ...
if you'll be joining, you know where to find me. :-) have been feeling quite bad about art lately, so i'm kind of anxious about how this year is going to go. i'll try to find a loop that works for me & put in enough effort to make things look nice-ish ... but i have no idea what i'll be capable of. i'm pledging to not wallow this year ... my insecure ass won't faulter, i swear it ...
and i guess that's all. short entry! fingers crossed i'll find the energy & strength to keep chipping away at the site, since there is sooo much i want to get done. until then, see yall later! take care!
