what's new with me?
so, this is both a late blog post ( these aren't really on a schedule, I just wanted to make this earlier ) and also a kind of brisk one. but I wanted to say really quick: 1) we got a new pi & my review tool is fixed, which means I can hopefully start regularly uploading those again on a weekly basis; 2) life is a little busy at the moment -- home repairs, changing seasons, I think my cats have fleas ( despite being indoor only T_T ) -- but i'm doing fine, for the most part; and 3) artfight was great this year! I had an amazing time!
I will be updating my OC profiles with all the new art I got, and also i'd like to start working on getting at least a bare-bones set-up for everyone done! the way I do it now is very fickle, so I've been putting it off, but getting SO MUCH ART of my characters this year + seeing everyone else's creative OCs has me rejuvenated, re: creative endeavors & original characters & stories & such.
i'd talk more at length about the event, but tbh there's not much else to say. I went through the same thing as last year, where I lost all my confidence & started really feeling bad about my own abilities & the loss in skill I've suffered due to arm / wrist / hand damage, but in the end I drew a ton more art than I thought I was capable of, and I also am ( mostly ) happy with the results. nothing spectacular, but I had fun drawing & I think the people who got art from me were happy with the results too! so I really can't complain. i'm very very happy, and I hope next year I can get spoiled again LOL. it was an amazing change of pace from my first year, it really invigorated me.
so yep, that's it!! super short entry today. maybe that's refreshing, since I never know when to can it. no funny pics or gifs in this entry either, but i'll bring those back next time -- I've got lots of amazing cat photos I want to share with you all!
