i actually made this a while ago, but i found it going through my files recently; the original image has a toooon of worldbuilding commentary on it, but i've removed most of it since i'm still workshopping these thing & don't entirely agree with my previous self's thoughts anymore.
when designing these, i drew from one of mina's beta designs for aesthetic inspiration; as well, i was designing generally & not thinking too much about class & such yet. so on top of that, i will need to also expound & make fashion that reflects gender segregation & reinforces cultural differences between them, since i've decided that her story revolves around ( among other things ) her gender.
anyway, the idea for morramo fashion trends was to 1) be influenced mostly by occupation, where more homely people are the ones to dress in more decorative, fragile clothes; and 2) embody a cozy, friendly vibe through the use of layers & nice thick shapes. i wasn't too happy with what i made on that front originally, but now that i've had time to reconsider, i think these are alright ... there's still lots of work to be done though.
