devyn & marlowe

magma sesh sketch of devyn & marlowe. marlowe's backstory was clear to me at this point, but i just had no idea how to slot her into the universe without trivializing her place in it ... i was toying with the idea of her being rescued by devyn & serving as a travel companion for her, since combat-wise they pair nicely, but devyn's story beats were already pretty set in stone ... so i was struggling to really figure out how marlowe could come along without being relegated to sidekick.

i just decided to put her on the shelf for now -- i would figure out a better fate for her later.
