portrait for joanna. her inspiration came from the description of the moonlight greatsword, which stated it used to be given out as a betrothal gift, and from the lonely nature of jarburg, whose denizens asked for a potentate when you'd visit them. i utterly bypassed the NPC quest that results in them getting a potentate canonically, so i decided to make joanna a master craftsman, who, after failing to be a knight & protect her fiancee during the cuckoo rebellion, fled & wound up in jarburg, eventually serving as potentate for the jars & finding peace through keeping them safe from unruly outsiders.

her design has changed somewhat since i drew this, mostly just involving breaking away from the obvious elden ring attire; besides that, she remains nondescriptly dressed with a mysterious sword.
